A 18 seat restaurant located in Waterloo St, Surry Hills, The Blue Door serves a Tasting Menu dictated by our farmers!
We only purchase animal protein from NSW farmers which Chef Dylan Cashman and his team have personally visited. We only work with no-till, regenerative vegetable farmers from NSW.

We only purchase whole animals so the menu changes weekly but The Blue Door Dinner Experience remains the same.

“Fun-dining” rather than Fine Dining. We create sustainable, interesting, tasty food in a truly Modern Australian way.

We invite you into our Surry Hills home to share Dylan Cashman and Angelica Nohra’s passion for ethical and sustainable practices. This extends from our coasters to our food, our wine and the hospitality industry as a whole. We are only 2 blocks up from Sydney’s Central Station and 2 blocks down from Surry Hills Light Rail station, making it nice and convenient to find us!

Just like the food, The Blue Door beverage program is heavily focused on the diversity of wine from all over NSW. Angelica Nohra has crafted a beverage offering that highlights the best that NSW has to offer at an approachable and modest price point to encourage people to just “give it a go”.

However, as Angelica’s love of wine is broad from years of importing wine from all over the world, there is a small, ever changing array of international wines and Champagnes.

Thurs–Sat (Thursdays are BYO Wine Night!)
5:30pm–11pm
We offer 2 sittings a night.

First sitting (staggered times between 5:30-6:15pm) have a 2 hour limit.
Second sitting (staggered times between 8:15pm-8:45pm) can spend the night!
